Hiroaki Yazawa Lacquerware Exhibition 2025.7.12 (Sat) - 7.21 (Mon/Holiday)

Hiroaki Yazawa was born and raised in Kamakura and has been familiar with lacquerware since he was a child.
Based on the idea that lacquerware is a "tool to be used," lacquer is applied carefully while taking advantage of the characteristics of each type of wood.
The pieces are made by carving out pieces of wood and shaping them, with a finish that retains traces of handwork.
In addition, while incorporating decorative elements such as silver and tin, we strive to create lacquerware that allows you to feel the warmth and texture of wood.
This exhibition will feature bowls, plates, sake cups, as well as trays and lunch boxes, and other pieces suited to everyday life.
