Hiroaki Yazawa Lacquerware Exhibition 2025.7.12 (Sat) - 7.21 (Mon/Holiday)

Hiroaki Yazawa was born and raised in Kamakura, and has been familiar with lacquerware since he was a child. Based on the idea that lacquerware is a "tool to be used," he carefully applies lacquer to each piece of wood, taking advantage of the characteristics of each piece.
The pieces are carved out of wood and shaped, with a finish that retains traces of handwork.
In addition, while incorporating decorative elements such as silver and tin, we strive to create lacquerware that allows you to feel the warmth and texture of wood.
This exhibition will feature bowls, plates, sake cups, trays, lunch boxes and other items that are close to everyday life.
