Shuji Okami Ceramics Exhibition 2025.9.27(Sat)-10.5(Sun)

This is an exhibition by Okami, whose studio is located 600 meters above sea level in Masuho Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, from where you can see Mount Fuji.

The pieces were fired in an ana kiln for four days, and while they exude a sense of tranquility, the natural glazes are beautifully rendered.
It has a strong presence not only in Japanese spaces but also in stylish Western spaces.
Okami, whose grandfather was a joiner of transoms in Fukagawa, naturally developed an eye for craftsmanship from an early age.
"I love sculpting, and it's what I do. Sculpting never exceeds imagination, so I've continued to face the clay, determined to do it again next time," says Okami.
This exhibition will feature a wide variety of works, including flower vases, sake vessels, and tableware for everyday use.
Okami himself will be present on Saturdays and Sundays during the exhibition.
