Aika Tsumori Exhibition: Oct. 25 (Sat) - Nov. 3 (Mon), 2025

Aico Tsumori Ceramic Exhibition

With their gentle expressions, these characters

evoke a somewhat sentimental and quiet story.

While Aico Tsumori’s works are humorous and charming in form,

they leave a gentle, lingering impression on the viewer's heart.

Her sculptures, which feature humans and animals, and her unique sake vessels

are crafted with meticulous care and solid ceramic techniques,

with no effort spared in their making.

This year, Tsumori said goodbye to the two beloved cats she had lived with for 20 years.

Although they were chubby, before they passed, they had become "like small kittens."

She recalls thinking, "They feel as small as a bag," as she held them on her lap.

These works are overflowing with such sentiments and tenderness.

Please enjoy the unique world of Aico Tsumori.

Artist in attendance: 10/25 (Sat), 10/26 (Sun)
