※Jamdani is a traditional craft from the state of West Bengal, India, made from extra-fine cotton or silk. The finished fabric is airy, light, and feels like gossamer.
The patterns are created using a laborious technique where each thread is picked and woven by hand, making it a precious craft that can now only be seen in rural areas about a five-hour drive from Kolkata.
Furthermore, pieces made with hand-spun yarn have become extremely rare masterpieces today.
