※Jamdani is a traditional craft from the state of West Bengal, India, made from ultra-fine cotton or silk. The finished fabric is light and airy, much like a celestial robe.
The patterns are created using a painstaking technique where the weft threads are woven in by picking up each stitch individually; today, this rare handiwork can only be seen in rural areas about a five-hour drive from Kolkata.
Furthermore, pieces made with hand-spun yarn have become exceptionally rare masterpieces.
