※Jamdani weaving is a traditional craft from the state of West Bengal, India, made from extremely fine cotton or silk. The finished fabric is airy, light, and feels like gossamer.
The patterns are created by carefully inserting the weft thread stitch by stitch, a highly painstaking technique that can now only be seen in rural areas about a five-hour drive from Kolkata, making it a precious form of handiwork.
Furthermore, pieces made with hand-spun yarn have become rare and exquisite items today.
