※Jamdani weaving is a traditional craft from the Indian state of West Bengal, made from ultra-fine cotton or silk. The resulting fabric is light and airy, much like celestial robes.
The patterns are created using an incredibly painstaking technique where each stitch is picked out by hand to insert the weft thread, and it has now become a rare handicraft that can only be seen in rural areas about a five-hour drive from Kolkata.
Furthermore, pieces made using hand-spun yarn have now become very rare gems.
