This sake cup is crafted using the dry lacquer technique.

The organic, free-form shape characteristic of dry lacquer fits comfortably in the hand and makes for an enjoyable drinking experience.

The interior is finished in black lacquer.

The exterior features a black rust lacquer finish, adorned with the ancient characters "Sake," "Gi," and "Ro" in tin powder.

*"Ro" refers to the act of welcoming guests with fresh fish.
